Humanist wedding celebrant · Gdańsk, Poland
Bilingual wedding ceremonies in Poland
A personal, English–Polish ceremony built around your story – by the sea, in a garden or anywhere you choose.
Hello, I'm Milena
Your wedding, in both of your languages
I'm a humanist wedding celebrant based in Gdańsk, working across the Tricity (Gdańsk, Sopot, Gdynia) and the rest of Poland. I've worked in the wedding industry since 2017.
Many of my couples come from two countries. A standard registry-office ceremony in Poland is short, formal and in Polish only – half of your guests may not understand a word. A humanist ceremony is different: we write it from scratch, around your story, and I lead it fluently in English and Polish so that every guest feels included.
There are no fixed formulas. You choose the place, the time, the music and the rituals – I write the script, help you with your vows and make sure the day runs smoothly.

How we'll work together
Free first call
We meet online or in person in the Tricity, get to know each other and talk about your plans – no obligation.
A script written for you
Based on questionnaires and conversations, I write a ceremony that tells your story – with natural switches between English and Polish, not word-for-word translation.
Help with your vows
You get my vow-writing guide, and I review your drafts separately so your vows match in length and tone – and stay a surprise.
On the day
I coordinate with your musicians, DJ and venue, run a sound check and lead the ceremony – including a plan B for the Baltic weather.
Good to know
Is it legally binding?
A humanist ceremony in Poland is not legally binding on its own. Most couples handle the legal part separately at a Polish registry office (Urząd Stanu Cywilnego) – often a short, low-key appointment before or after the celebration – and keep the humanist ceremony as the real, emotional moment with all their guests.
It is also possible to combine both on the same day at your venue, with the registry office's consent. I'm happy to contact the registrar and plan the ceremony so both parts flow naturally. Couples who are not Polish citizens should check the document requirements with the registry office well in advance.
